When you think about the real size of a baby when you first get him into your house, getting a large crib might seem just ridiculous.

Besides the fact that they can occupy quite a bit of space in your small apartment, the baby will look a bit lost in a large crib.

One idea would be to go with a baby crib that saves a lot of space for you, and this type of crib can be found in many stores, both online and in regular ones.

Cradles are usually known as a lot of different things, so people will call them cradles, cribs, carrycots, Moses basket and more. All these have one thing in common, they are places where a small baby can rest snugly.

It doesn’t mean however that they are all the same things. A cradle is not the same thing as a bassinet. Cradles, for example, can be rocked, while bassinets sit on a frame and are quite static.

Usually, cradles will also double as a bassinet, with the help of a peg, which can be put in the frame, so it will not rock anymore. Taking it back out will allow you to turn it back into a cradle. The Moses baskets come with attached handles, which let you transport them easier, from one room to another. You can also take them in your travels.

When you buy a Moses basket, you should check that it has sturdy handles, so the weight of the baby is supported. Most baskets of this type are made either out of wicker or from palm fronds.

You can get cribs in a number of different designs, but in most cases they will consist with a normal cot, which has a drop side, and a mechanism which you can use to adjust the mattress’s height.
